2. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to personal data that we receive through this website, email enquiries initiated from this website, and ordinary business communications relating to our services. Client project data may additionally be governed by a separate contract, statement of work, data processing agreement or confidentiality agreement. Where those terms conflict with this policy in relation to a client engagement, the applicable signed agreement will govern to the extent permitted by law.
3. Data we may collect
We may receive information you choose to provide, such as your name, work email address, organisation, job title, telephone number, enquiry details and information included in correspondence. When you access the website, the hosting provider and normal internet infrastructure may process technical information such as IP address, browser information, request time and security logs as necessary to deliver and protect the service.
We do not intentionally request special-category or highly sensitive information through this public website. Please do not send passwords, private keys, access tokens, production credentials, financial account information, health data or other sensitive material through a general website enquiry.
4. Why we use personal data
Subject to applicable law, we may use personal data to respond to enquiries; assess and discuss potential engagements; deliver contracted services; manage customer and supplier relationships; maintain business records; protect our systems, website and legal rights; prevent misuse or security incidents; comply with legal, regulatory, tax and accounting obligations; and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Where consent is required by applicable law, we will rely on consent for the relevant processing. Where another lawful basis or permitted use is available, we may rely on that basis to the extent allowed by law.
5. Cookies, analytics and advertising
Opsasan does not currently configure this website to place advertising cookies, behavioural analytics cookies or marketing pixels. We do not currently use this website for cross-site behavioural advertising. The hosting provider may process technical logs or apply its own necessary infrastructure and security measures under its terms.
6. Sharing of information
We do not sell personal data. We may disclose information only where reasonably necessary to service providers acting for us, professional advisers, auditors, insurers, payment or accounting providers used for a business relationship, authorities where disclosure is legally required, or parties involved in a genuine corporate transaction. Service providers should receive only the information reasonably required for their role and remain subject to applicable contractual and legal obligations.
7. International processing
Cloud, communications and hosting services may involve processing in jurisdictions outside the location from which you access this website. Where applicable law restricts a transfer or requires safeguards, Opsasan will take measures reasonably required by that law. We will not describe a particular international transfer mechanism as applicable unless it is actually implemented for the relevant processing.
8. Data retention
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to maintain appropriate business records, to comply with legal or contractual requirements, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Retention periods may therefore differ depending on the nature of the relationship and information.
9. Security
We use reasonable organisational and technical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information and our role. No internet transmission, cloud service or information system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and this policy does not create an absolute security warranty.
10. Your requests and rights
Depending on the law applicable to the processing and the relevant provisions in force, you may have rights concerning access, correction, updating, erasure, consent withdrawal, grievance redressal or nomination. A right may be subject to statutory conditions, exceptions and verification requirements. Requests may be sent to hello@opsasan.com. We may request reasonable information to verify identity and the scope of a request before acting on it.
11. India's data-protection framework
India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 have phased commencement dates. Opsasan intends to align its practices with requirements applicable to it as those provisions become effective. Nothing in this policy is intended to waive a right or obligation that cannot lawfully be waived.
12. Children's data
This website and our business-to-business services are not directed to children. We do not knowingly solicit personal data from children through this website. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us inappropriately, contact us so that we can assess and take appropriate action.
13. Third-party links and platforms
This website may link to third-party websites or platforms. Their privacy and security practices are controlled by those third parties, not Opsasan. A link does not make us responsible for a third party's processing.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our website, services, vendors or legal obligations change. The effective date shown at the top will be updated when a revised policy is published. Material changes should not be applied retrospectively in a way prohibited by applicable law.
